Silence for the renovation of the buildings stable Edinburgh

Malcolm Fraser Architects recently converted stable these abandoned buildings in the offices.

The project, located in Edinburgh Georgian New Town, has created a series of zinc attachments to the house of different spaces. The architects have also raised the ceiling to improve the level of natural light and natural ventilation in the upper floors.

Although small, the site is two floors across its width. The different levels in existing buildings were connected by a glass containing a new steel and wooden staircase. There is also a small garden, accessible from the bottom of the building.

Malcolm Fraser said: "The original site was a mess and we wanted to preserve the difference that comes with this disorder and provide a calm to it. Zinc wrapped around the building no."
